Hello there!

I am home at Kochi and in complete lockdown as this second wave of Coronavirus is spreading havoc. Here is what I have been up to these days;

Workouts

Figured it will be a good idea to come out of this lockdown in better shape. Someone dear to me suggested a workout plan and it seems to be working for me. Check out the workout routine below. There are no difficult exercises involved but when you are done with this set, you will be all sweaty and tired.

Decided to write 1000 words every day in order to brush up my writing skills. I will keep you updated about how that’s going on. I use Notion to do most of my writing these days. It’s a amazing tool, do check it out.

Reading

The last book I read was ‘The Prince‘, one of the first works of modern political philosophy by Niccolo Machiavelli. The book expounds on why the princes of Italy lost their states. He dedicates this book to Lorenzo de Medici, believing that it is he who can bring salvation to Italy. Full of historical references, the book continues to influence its readers and the hidden ruler in them.

The Prince

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the book;

““Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.”

“If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared.”

“The first method for estimating the intelligence of a ruler is to look at the men he has around him.”

Watching the TV Series Medici after reading this book can be quite insightful.

Binge Watching

I remember being glued to the screen when NCIS was aired on AXN in 2011. Have decided to watch it all from the beginning. Currently, I am on to the 7th season of the show. If you are interested, you can find the show on Amazon Prime.

That is all up with me this month. Hope you are all putting your time to good use.

Stay safe, wear masks and wash your hands regularly.

Warm Regards,
